Second Time Round.  Sucess!

We camped in the first small lake (about 1hour 30m with a big sac from where the bus dropped as near the Vallibierna refuge). Super, starry night. Actually managed to sleep a bit, which is rare for me in a tent and before a Big Day. The hike was long and virtually deserted until we got over the Col de Coronas &joined the classic route from Renclusa. The glaciar was very thin and grey-looking. Crampons on and a slow "queue" of people up to the summit. Despite joining an enormous group on the antecima, we got in front of them to cross the Paso and had the summit almost to ourselves for a few minutes. We didn't get down in time to catch the bus down to Benasque, so stayed the night (on our own) in the empty Ballibierna hut. A bit spookey, actually. The night previously it had been bursting to the seams...
