Re: Good recent memories!Yea, I saw that you were and I know for the month of Sept the weather was perfect. We arrived on Sept 26 and left on Oct 3. We had 2 nice days, 2 crappy and 2 "OK" days. The weather around Canmore was always nice than Banff and Lake Louise. We are planning to go back early Sept. 2012

Re: Good recent memories!It's a shame you missed the good weather. We had a brief foggy morning and one rainy evening but otherwise perfect. They say that Canmore is a bit of a "banana belt" when it comes to weather and I would agree. I talked with one tour guide who said that much of the summer was rainy so you may have been better off than you think!
This was a 'bucket' trip for me so I doubt I'll get back for many years if at all. Early next September should be perfect for you!
