Classic view of Lake McDonald, as seen from Apgar Village, not long after entering GNP through West Glacier. From left to right:
Stanton Mtn. (7750') is just in front of
Mt. Vaught (8850'sharply pointed, snowy summit), which has a small bit of the shoulder of Mt. McPartland (8413') peeking out from behind; then comes a portion of the
Garden Wall, then
Mt. Cannon (8952'),
Mt. Brown (8565'), the Little Matterhorn (7886'),
Edwards Mtn. (9055'), and on the far right is
Gunsight Mtn. (9258'). Lake McDonald, approximately 10 miles in length, is the lowest point in Glacier Park, at 3153 feet elevation.
