Are you sure this is Rose Knob?Think this might be Rose Knob Peak. You attached previously a photo of Rose Knob Peak to Rose Knob, and I detached it and attached to Rose Knob Peak.
It is confusing, but Rose Knob and Rose Knob Peak are very different.

Re: Are you sure this is Rose Knob?You are right....this summit view is off Rose Knob Peak. In the Rose mountain area the namers of the surrounding mountains could not have made it more confusing. As far as I knew (and according to the book Backcountry Skiing Lake Tahoe) if you are looking from the West shore the tallest mountain in the far back is Mount Rose. There should be 2 smaller peaks in the foreground. The peak on the left is Rose Knob Peak and the other smaller peak on the right is Knob Jr. Regardless of the name.......the skiing kicked ass....enough that I might just one day have to move down to South Lake Tahoe.
