The Langenfels is my most recent rocky discovery, in the Palatinate. I was there saturday, the 26th september 2009 ! I did this new visit with another beautiful rock of the sector : the Frohndellpfeiler. Equally, in the same day, I was, for finishing my journey, at the Schindhübel (panoramic tower) ... The Langenfels is extremely wild, high and totally unsecured and unmarked ! The total height of the rocky formation is reaching 74 meters : this is a fantastic record, in the Palatinate ! At the site, you will find too much forest and flora (dead foliage, farns, callunas, wild herbs, ... ) and there's a risk of ticks ! So, please, be cautious, if you are going here, at the Langenfels : stay at your guard ...
