Last steps to the top of Lone Peak | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Bruce Christensen captured this unusual image of me exiting the pre-summit chimney into the Sun and sparkling blowing snow of the summit cone. Thanks for the permission to use it here!

Hasn't voted | Yep, it made me gasp with awe, too. Of course, it is one of those rare moments which look better in a photograph than in realworld :) but gotta appreaciate that! | | Posted Jan 31, 2008 9:23 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks a lot, Romek, and condolescences for the loss of your friend. May the mountains stand like eternal monuments! Eternity for us is but a moment for them. | | Posted Jan 31, 2008 3:50 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks Bob! I kind of "traded" it for another profile-quality shot made at exactly the same spot - but looking at the opposite direction. I am starting to feel that maybe it wasn't a perfectly fair trade LOL. | | Posted Feb 4, 2008 5:31 pm |

Voted 10/10 | I like that other one just as much for the action and perspective it shows. The original I commented on is more artistic, but yours is just as good in its own ways. | | Posted Feb 4, 2008 8:17 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks! We actually tried to remix the same shot this winter. There was no wind but ZeeJay kicked the snow a few times, sending a shower of crystals flying into the air. Alas, it didn't turn out that good on camera! Hard to time is right :) The real blowing snow works a lot better... | | Posted Apr 17, 2009 7:05 pm |
