Leading pitch one of Paper...

Leading pitch one of Paper...

Leading pitch one of Paper Tiger directly below the 5.9 bulge (finger crack thru. bulge). I think this bulge is the crux of the route. The 10a notch through the roof higher up felt much easier (Sept. 17, 2005).

Nice job.

Sounds like an interesting line, nice work. I think we checked out the start of this route last January after doing Super Slab.

Have you ever tried that sport climb "Let's Face It", just left of Peking? One of the best face climbs I've done, I'd recommend it.

Re: Nice job.

Martin,

Thanks! We mighted have scoped it out last year.

It's a surprisingly FUN route! Some loose sh.. as expected (I actually backed off of it the weekend before after getting a little spooked low on P1) but it's only so on easy ground. Cruxes - which are loads of fun - are on good rock and with decent pro. The obscurity makes the route more fun IMHO :)

Have not tried the route you mention. Lotta terrain there....maybe next time.
