Leading the (hard for me) P2...

Leading the (hard for me) P2 of Kor-Ingalls route. Was I in the wrong crack since there was a stuck cam in the crack on the right of me (December 25, 2004)? bthere adds the following comment: We just did this route last weekend, and the crack we climbed is to your left in this photo. It was 5.8-5.9 off-width with one manky bolt half way. The crack was #4 camalot size and I moved one with me. I watched two guys in front of us wretch up this thing your on, then we sailed up the crack in the corner...it starts just left of your first pro visible, by those huecos with the chalk. It was a calcite lined, #4 sized crack with an old bolt about about half way up.

Re: New Beta

No, the crack ended up at the same ledge as the one pictured here. I came out at the standard belay just below the 3rd pitch.

Re: New Beta

Cool - thanks for the info. I'll include your remark in the caption later. So the crack you mention is not really visible in this shot, right? Does it join the crack I'm on just below belay?

thanks!

Yeah, it starts just left of your first pro visible, by those huecos with the chalk. It was a calcite lined, #4 sized crack with an old bolt about about half way up.
