When exactly?I was at Leavitt on Memorial Day '01 and there wasn't as much snow as your photos. Did you go just after the road was opened? How were the travel conditions?

Re: When exactly?I believe this was the first weekend the pass was open for the season. I came back a week later for a snowboard descent of Leavitt, but a thunder storm reached me before I reached the summit. It was still a good tour, just a sloppy one. Lost some equipment while jumping across the overflowing creek to get back to the road. Traveling with snowshoes was the best way to go during that time of the year.
