Leavitt Peak

Leavitt Peak. The summit a flat top big enough to play tennis on. I was grateful for this clear day, the smoke of the fires to the south just passing the peak to the west. The moonscape below just an amazing sight. Hiram Leavitt, an early settler in the area from New England, was one of those who brought "civilization" to this rugged land. During hunting season in this neck of the woods, one has to ask "What about human beings is civilized?"
