| EricChu | Lenkstein the normal way from the Barmer Hütte ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 18, 1992 | |
| After waiting a long time for the weather to clear up - there was one day of sunshine that allowed me to make my way to the Barmer Hütte from the Stallersattel via Almerhorn (2986m). Then it was another two days wait for the weather at the Barmer Hütte. Then, on July 18th, I was able to go up the Lenkstein in perfect weather. An interesting trail, not always easy - as there was ice during that period further up it was rather tricky in some spots - but very rewarding. The summit offers a great view! I went back down the same way. | ||

| September 2nd 1985 We did this as a daytrip from Defereggen valley. We were lucky not to get into a thunderstorm, that is what I remember July 23rd 1988 This time we climbed Lenkstein as preparation for Hochgall the next day. It was so warm, we could do the climb with short trousers. I admit that I stole a sheet with the signature of famous author Sepp Schnuerer from the summit book | ||

| Carrying a tent, sleeping bags etc. we spent the night on the place where old Barmer hut once stood. Hardly enough place for one tent, but beautiful. Heavy storm during the night. Next day we proceeded via south approach, very nice, also the day was clear. Returned down to the Patscher valley on a hot July day. | ||
