Fantastic afternoon  Sucess!

More than 75 people (!) showed up for this year's wildflower hike because of the intense rains we've had, and the show did not disappoint. Dense fields of blue dicks, fiddlenecks, poppies, and mustard amidst the endless green. I can see why the preserve is only open one day a year, though, as the flowers would quickly be destroyed by uncontrolled visitation.

If it weren't for SummitPost, I'd never have thought to come here!

Tall grass!  Sucess!

Hiked and scrambled up from the saddle between Lewis Hill and Peak 1140'. Great pre-workout warmup!

Not a tough climb...  Sucess!

...but very worthwhile this time of year to see the flowers and the views of the snow-covered Sierra!
