LIBERTY MOUNTAIN-WHITE MOUNTAINS
This trip was on August 29th, if you can believe it! It was very cloudy and in the mid 40's on the summit. The sustained winds were 50-70 with gusts over 80, very cold! This was my friend Chris' first hike with me, I try to break them in easy. It was 4 miles to the summit with 3,250 ft. of elevation gain. We did get a late start about 10 A.M. returning back to the car just before dark at 7 P.M. Slow going, but was a blast!
The clouds cleared away for about 15 seconds, just enough time to take a quick picture.
