This is a nice tower to do early on a Moab trip. Other than summit block (which is fairly easy), the going is not that hard and pretty well protected (you guys have done Dark Angel I think - can't imagine that it's much easier than this one). Take care.
PS Coming out to Smithy anytime soon? Let us know if you want to hook up down there.
Doing some canyoneering around Moab in March, but I'm gonna be headed that way again in August on my way to CO and would like to squeeze in something manageable for me to climb (ie: not 5.10-) while I'm passing through. Great page, though this one doesn't fit the bill for me. Excellent photos, by the way.
A Colorado Plateau group sound good now. Even though there are probably literally hundreds of thousand of these towers, it seems like only a few SP members are adding any to SP.
Another beauty Radek! Hard to say anything original. But actually I have been wondering a lot what the Utah and Arizona sandstone formations would look like if they saw the same weather as ours here (must be similar to Portland). Or to put it differently: what our formations would look like if we suddenly had desertification...

Untitled CommentA Moab Towers Group sounds like a good idea.

Untitled CommentHey Gangolf,
Thanks for visiting and thank you for the good vote!
Yeah, these are interesting hypotheticals - there probably would be no desert towers if the climate was more Pacific Northwest like in Utah :)
........maybe desert domes...different erosion pattern??
