Nice write up, I'm hoping to get on this one as soon a the snow consolidates. One sorta nit picking thing, you left the External links section blank, if you can find some trip reports (lots on ski sites as this is a very popular ski descent) i think that would make a nice addition. You should at least a link to the Shasta avalanche center.
Oh thanks, yes I will try to make those additions. I think the conditions should be good in another week or so. Fifth Season is reporting good consolidation now, while the USFS website still has pretty high avy concerns. A guy I spoke to at the Mountain Hardware factory yesterday said Fifth Seasons report should be accurate, as they talk to Shasta Mountain guides (right next door) each day. I plan to head up next weekend and goof around on Green Butte ridge - see how high we can get. I will report back on conditions.
