Great shot!

Linville Gorge is one of my favorite places. Your pictures are a good way to visit.

Re: Great shot!

Mine too, there is so much there. I've always wanted to check out the Gold Coast cliffs in the shot there, just can't find someone who wants to bushwhack across the river. Ever climbed there? I'd be interested in some route info if you have.

Re: Great shot!

Sorry - no climbing in the area; just some hiking long ago.

Re: Great shot!

Ya dont have to bushwhack much. There is the Rockjock trail which runs from Conley Cove south along the wall almost to Pinchin. (note word:'almost'). Rock has been worked on recently and is in as good a shape as it ever gets. Lots of Routes have been put in by Nathan Brown but there are some areas toward the south of Rockjock that may still be untouched: particularly Crevasse Creek. You can find maps to the trails and waypoints for all this stuff on www.linvillegorge.net.
