This route is every bit as hard as people make it out to be. Each individual move isn't particularly hard and there is certainly nothing harder than 5.2 or so. But the ridge is so long and so unrelentingly 4th class that it is a real mental challenge to stay focussed for so long. Roping up would probably make it less mentally wiggy, but it would probably double your time on the ridge. By the time I was traversing the last tower, I was utterly trashed.
