| 5-21-11 Flathead Jim led us up this route. It looks hairy from the highway with all the snow and ice, but not so bad up close and personal. | |

| This is also a good snow climb in the winter or spring, right up the face, it is steep and pretty full on. Good training route as it is close to the road, easy access. The scree is uttely miserable and I would not recommend an ascent on anything but snow. Again on 5/21/11, S Face Direct, took a GMS group up the steep snow fields on a nice cloudy day. | |

| A lovely early season hike--but for a small patch near the summit of Little Dog, the route was snow-free the whole way in mid-June. Summit was an added, not-too-difficult bonus. | |
