Cloud was one of my favorites last year despite the hordes of mosquitos we had at Mistymoon Lake. We also had a thunderstorm hit at midnight which was a pretty scary time but the climb to the peak was really great. Thanks for sharing this one, it brought back some great memories.
Dean,
You're welcome - I'm glad your trip was successful as well! We totally lucked out with the mosquitoes and only saw like two at Mistymoon Lake, which was very nice considering all of the horror stories I've heard about them. Must have been the lateness of the year...

Thanks for checking out the page! It is a pretty cool place - let me know if you ever make it up this way and we could do something there if you're interested...

Thanks so much! I would definitely guess that there are some skiing possibilities in June and July for sure, but not being a skier myself, I wouldn't know any details. You might post a forum thread and ask if anyone else knows - good luck!

Thanks for the Trip post. My one and only trip into the Bighorns I did a solo up Cloud in Early June 89 Using the same route as you. I had to use snowshoes most of the way and Dodge electric snowstorms. I came out via Lake Solitude and made a nice loop. I did not see a soul for 7 days! I always wondered what it looked like without snow. Thanks for sharing the Pics. Rob
Thanks for commenting - glad you enjoyed reading it! Wow, that sounds like an epic trip - I've been wondering lately what a snow ascent would be like. Maybe someday! :)
