Lochsa Canyon

The broad Lochsa Canyon splits the Clearwater Mountains north and south. The river in the bottom is a recreational destination and is the route of US Highway 12. Lewis and Clark traversed part of the upper canyon and the main ridges in the distance. The high point at upper center is Rhoads Peak. This photo was taken from the north ridge of unnamed peak 8,042.
