Longs Peak, Colorado
August 20, 2008. The "Keyhole" approach to Longs Peak, Elevation 14259 feet/ 4347 meters. These conditions were difficult and dangerous, and I did not summit. :-( This was the Boulder Field, elevation 12760 feet, where the trail ends. The Keyhole is located at elevation 13160 feet. This was the point where I made the decision to turn around.
