Looking back at Uruashraju

The main summit is on he right, the slightly lower Uruashraju Norte is in the center. The route to the main summit starts by getting on the glacier far to the left, outside this picture even. From there, it crosses a first ridge to reach the basin to the left of the rocky west ridge coming down from Uruashraju Norte. We put up our high camp in that basin. Next morning we crossed the ridge to reach the base of Uruashraju itself, then climbed a line right next to all the seracs on the northwestern face. 20 July 2011.
