Looking down at the area where the highest point of Lincoln county is to be found, you get an idea of why it is less than ideal when the highest point in a county isn't the top of a peak but a spot on a ridge. Still, it is part of the "sport" of county highpointing and there is even a cairn and register located at the HP. This photo was taken pointing in a southerly direction.
The route to just the Lincoln HP may be best from this direction. (see Geyser Ranch route)
