Looking down on the Obere Ochenscharte from the Dreiländerspitze west ridge
We've left our backpacks on the Obere Ochsenscharte, the high saddle just north of the Dreiländerspitze, but they are almost invisible, dwarved by the big mountain scenery.
From the saddle, we had started up the Vermunt glacier, on the left in this picture, to reach the rocky west ridge about half way up. We're just about where the west ridge and the north ridge meet, shortly north of the summit.
