Lots of scree
... at the base of the Aferer Geisler.
This is on the south, but it isn't very different on the other side. These rocks are crumbly! Some trails traverse these slopes, but fortunately they are well maintained as well as fairly well trodden, and as a result the scree poses no problem whatsoever.
