Lower Trough at 12,500'

Looking up the Trough from about 12,500' toward the summit of Longs. The route curves around to the right before entering the prominent notch to the right of the summit cliffs. The snow in this section was well-consolidated even this early in the season. Slope is about 30 degrees here, but steeper in other sections. February 25, 2006.
