Direction?

Is this photo looking down at the western side of the pass? (From looking at the map, it looks like there are 2 tarns like the one in this photo.) That would mean that the ridge on the right side of this photo is Thunder ridge, do I have this right? Just trying to do some internet research on this pass for an upcoming trip. That's all. Thanks!

Yes to both questions, I believe. The other side is steeper, but much less hideous.
