Better Than The Standard Route... Date Climbed: May 2, 2009
... at least on this particular summit day. A lot of snow was on the ground and people were sinking through deep rock-wells in the snow along the standard route, nearly breaking their ankles in the process. I opted to ascend via the open non-snow-covered talus slope, as there were a lot less unknowns and movement was both swift and straightforward.
"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."
