Making Argon Oil in Imlil (for trip report)

On the way down, we stopped at a cooperative in Imlil to see the women making argon oil. Argon trees only grow in a small stretch of land in Morocco between the flats of Marrakech and the Atlas mountains and it is thought to have special properties. It can be used for cooking or in lotions and soaps. It's prepared in two different ways, depending on if it is to be eaten or applied on the body. (May 2010)
