Via Montezuma Basin Road Date Climbed: Sep 28, 2014
Got up and down in just over an hour from the 4WD road. A big rain storm was rolling in so we ran up and down as fast as we could early in the morning and it started raining shortly after returning back to the truck.
Worked up the NW Face from Cathedral Lake trying to patch together a continuous snow line with Floyd and Cheeseburglar. Parts were melting out so there were some loose talus chunks to cross, but it worked out pretty well. Climbed Leahy and Electric Pass Peak as well before dropping to to the American Lake side for a loop hike with car shuttle.

Bonus peak after sleeping at the Tagert Hut and climbing Castle's East Face. Contoured high in Montezuma Basin to reach Malemute's West Ridge and scrambled to the summit. Descended a steep couloir on the south face from right under the summit.
