Queen, then up & out
Climbed on the routes, then walked up and out of the canyon. In a couple of spots, you could see the waterfalls right through the thin ice curtain on which you stood ! Cool
I've climbed here numerous times - it's always fun; whether leading (better) or toproping. It's certainly not a wilderness experience though - I'm sure Greg and I are in hundreds of tourists pictures.
We climb in Maligne Canyon likely 4-5 times a year. It is a great place to top rope with a solo device when a partner is not available. The ice and atmosphere are always cool. It is strange having so many tourists around, but they are always polite and the canyon crawl leaders are mindful of the climbers.
