Malta's High Point

Malta's High Point

Rob starting his quest to scale the high point of Malta. And quest that is, because the flat mountain top features many bumps and humps, and without a specialist measuring equipment it is quasi impossible to tell which hump is the highest. Hiking/climbing part - that's another story as it can hardly get any easier: park your car on the roadside, get your lazy butt out of the car, cross the road and walk a few steps up the grassy slope! Found it!

After some serious poring over maps and images and exchanging a couple of messages with someone from Malta, I now think that the Malta highpoint was close to the first of the many bumps that I stood on.

It's not scenic at all, and the fact that it's on the edge of a quarry doesn't help either. On the bright side, the Dingli Cliffs are just a couple of minutes away and that's a great place to visit, especially around sunset.
