The turnoff is not far from the mile 23 marker so if coming from Kanab, watch for the unsigned turnoff onto a dirt road just after seeing the mile 23 marker. The road is suitable for low clearance vehicle for a short distance and then it'd be best to park and walk. With a high clearance 4WD vehicle, you can get close to the peak.
