Mariuolumne Dome, lower apron

4-July-2009: lower apron of Mariuolumne Dome. Hobbit Book is the striking left-facing corner in the upper right. Eurotrash (5.11a, 4 pitches) heads up a bit left of center from the base to the fourth-class ledges leading to Hobbit Book and the other climbs nearby, and is an alternative approach. The first three pitches can be linked to two with a 60m rope and are 5.8 with plentiful bolts. The last pitch is a little run out, except for the "5.11a" mantle (probably more like 5.10c) which has bolts above and below the move. The upper bolt had a cheater sling on it (which I used to aid past the hard move :) See also this pic.
