Massie Knob

Massie Knob

Massie Knob or one of the 1200 foot or so hills that emerge from the flats of west central Ohio and give what little vertical relief that is to be found in the state. This is what passes for knobs or "mountains" and is actually a vast improvement over Butler County. The picure was shot from a moving vehicle in the evening after painting and clearing the Kincaid Springs section of the Buckeye Trail. Starr Mountain and Palmer Mountain may also be visible. The road is northbound OH 124 Your view is of the western front of these sandstone hills.
