Matthew climbing the...
Matthew climbing the headwall on the standard variation route. Above this point, it appears that you can exit left onto gentler terrain, and then drop into the wash to continue up...or do as we did, and stay right and head up much more enjoyable, steep terrain. For all our manliness, I, for one, eventually chickened out when the chossiness of the rock slapped some sense into me.
