| Not my favorite mountain. In the words of another in the party, meh. | ||

| Unusually cold and overcast (typical last winter gasp around Memorial Day in SoNV), making for great photos. Barry drove the hairy road, made more so by a recent off-road race banking up some stretches, and I hiked with David S. and Abby. Reasonably short and beautiful. DPS register was there at that time. | ||

| Beautiful day! Got a flat on the way to the trailhead, which lengthened our hike by a couple of miles. Also, the summit register is completely empty! No notebook, no pen -- nothing. | ||

| Nice cool winter day. Took a roundabout ridge route on the outbound leg, returned via the standard washes. Pictures and trip report are here | ||

| Hiked this one with Al Sandorff and Steven Stembridge. We drove in from Jean, NV and hiked this one along with Peak 6955 (1 mile to the north) and Peak 5687 (1.5 miles to the west). We drove out south coming out at Nipton, CA. 4WD highly recommended (actually necessary) - in fact I got high centered on a boulder in my Jeep Wrangler trying to make it the last 500 feet to the "trailhead." Special thanks to Al and Steven for the muscle that helped get me off the boulder. | ||

| Almost 9 miles roundtrip. The summit was rewarding with great 360 degree views. | ||
