| Hiked with my wife and son to the Grotto and back. We got a late start and just made it to the gate before the ranger closed it at 4:30pm. The next day we visited Carlsbad Caverns with my wife relatives who live in Roswell, New Mexico. | |

| Great place for viewing wildlife. Try to go on a weekday, when the "crowds" (such as they are) aren't so bad. Make sure you don't get locked in! | |
