So thatis what that is...

I passed one of those things around 0500 north of Study Butte, TX after a week in Big Bend. I had no idea what it was. The lights and everything sort of reminded me of Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind. I had not idea it was Border Patrol!

I just learned recently what it was myself. It's used for the detection of low-flying aircraft entering the U.S. illegally. Take care, Ray
