"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Mineral ButteThe 'crux' of this climb was the drive to Galena. FR63 was 'closed' just a few miles from Jack Pass, but I was able to get through the washouts (barely) with 4wd. The road is getting pretty badly overgrown in spots. If you want to tag this one, do it soon. I was able to follow logging spurs all the way to 3900' (almost six miles of road walking). From here, it was easy snow scrambling to the top. I did not bring an ice axe, as it was a warm day with soft snow. If the snow were a little more consolidated, an ice axe might be nice for the top 500'.
