not fun," he shouted several times as I bombarded the belay
with shattered ice.

Showering the belayer with ice

...can be avoided by staying to the right side of the couloir. Next time, perhaps.

I thought the fall line from a rightward climb would be less likely to batter the belayer if he were to the left. I suppose next time Misha will want to lead and return the favor...
