Great Basin treasure  Sucess!

This lake caught my imagination from an early age. Great atmosphere all around, and the visitor's center was actually quite informative! Being out there along amongst the tufa towers is really where it's at, though.

Volcanology Field Trip  Sucess!

I'm a Master's student in Geology and came up here with a class: interesting place and amazing geologic history (so many volcanoes)!

such a unique place  Sucess!

so much to see. i checked out the black point fissures-awesome and swam in the lake- super fun because the salt makes you float more. so many people travel to Yosemite, yet relatively few continue to this amazing place.

Nice to finally see it in person!

Interesting place with a great Visitor's Center and very few people the day we visited

Since I was young  Sucess!

We used to go to Mono Lake quite often when I was young, but I'm putting down the date that I first explored the area as an adult. Love South Tufa and hope to kayak on the lake one day.
