Mono Lake on the edge of Mountain and Desert

Mono Lake May 26, 2013 Found at the Conway Summit this sign attempts to explain the complex relationship between the rainshadow location of the basin, the lake which provides alkali flies and brine shrimp for the nesting and migrating birds and desert basins which receive the melting snows each spring.
