Help

Nice shots. Wife and I are planning on doing same trail. Is Mono pass technical (looks tough right there but might just be perspective). I'm trying to decide whether to over 120 or do Mono pass. Ultimately, just looking for what is easier and has less avalanche danger.

Re: Help

Our assessment at the time was Mono Pass was safer than 120, that's why we went this way. Mono Pass is not that tough - the main easy slope is hidden from view by the rock outcropping in the right foregound. You can see the upper reaches of the easy snow slope up above. This, however, is the one slope that had us most concerned during the entire trip.
