Montana Larkspur (Delphinium bicolor)

Montana larkspur is common in parts of the northern Rocky Mountains from Alberta to central Idaho where it grows in a variety of habitas from grasslands and open forests to subalpine scree. This photo was taken in the foothills east of Bozeman, MT. April 1999
