The interactive map makes it really easy to get a good overview! (it´s definitely worth the great effort)

Thanks, Klaus! Livioz asked me if I could include maps since wanted to know where themountains were that I submitted. I have been struggling with the maps for three weeks but ow have found a way how to do them without hurting copyrights. After I had found out, the actual work was minor (worth the hassle).
Cheers

Thanks Marco, come back later to see the pictures. Didn't have the time this morning :-(
I got more than my fair share of mosquitos growing up on the coastal plains of southern Georgia and northern Florida.
One of the things I liked so much about spending my teens in the Appalachian highlands was that most biting insects were absent from elevations above 1K meters. I'd go backpacking for two weeks at a stretch and never so much as see a gnat, a mosquito, a deerfly, or even a tick.

Thanks Tim! I'll never understand you SPers. Now this mountain has amassed 19 votes - more than any other that I posted. The page's ok but I don't see why it is so much better than the others. It probably stood out there on the "What's New" page much longer.

Untitled CommentI was glad to read that you didn't meet any wild beast in Sardegna ;-))
By the way, do you know that it is the only Italian region where there is no viper?

Untitled CommentThanks, Livio! No I didn't know about the vipres. No wonder I survived! :-)
