Monte Teggiolo

No, we are not giants ... it's the hut that is very, very, very small! Summit of Monte Teggiolo (2385 m), Valle Cairasca, Lepontine Alps, Italy. (3 hours hiking from the village of San Domenico di Varzo). From the buttom of the vally, where the path to Monte Teggiolo begin, there is 1000 meters of ascent! The hut is an important shelter for hikers, in the event of lightning or storms. To the left: Monte Leone (3553 m), and to the right ... a goat. (Scanned picture, July 1992).
