Nasty cause they are a creepy looking, 3 inch long carnivarous insect. They eat their dead and are not scared of humans. (Never got close enough to see if they'll actually bite, don't really want to find out). We've seen them so thick on the roads here that it actually makes driving slippery. Ewww!
