It's all about the Rocks...
It's fascinating to walk through all the limestone formations and fossils in Marble Meadows, then get up on the ridge between Morrison-McBride and you're into some beautiful granite. Route finding was moderately confusing through the limestone band just before you start climbing onto the ridge, but otherwise very easy hiking. (The trail up from Buttle has a ton of switchbacks, it's a killer on a hot day with a big pack!)Closest I've been to the Hinde. Great views.
A short and easy detour from the Morrison/McBride route junction and worth it for the stupendous views. Feels like you could stretch out and touch the Hinde!
