Did a Pemi Loop over 2.5 days with a couple of friends. Going counter clockwise, camped at Guyot and Garfield tent sites. Saw an awesome lightning over a town to the north storm from Garfield; got hailed on in a lightning storm on the way out on the last day. Had a bottle of Bowmore with us.

Just an awesome location and some of the best views. The guyot campsite was crowded and did not live up to my expectations tho.

tthikerDoes anyone know the fastest time?  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jul 19, 2011

So I did about 19.8 miles in eight hours from trailhead back to trailhead. Hitting all the bonds, guyot and zealand. I did not do hale though. I was just wondering if anyone knows that fastest KNOWN time for that hike. I am well aware its not a standard hike that has listed fast times but just curious. I was shooting for 9 hours and was pysched to hit eight. So I was just curious if anyone out there knows of ay claims to that specific hike.

Great views, good hike, start early or plan on spending a night if you plan on tagging more than 2 or 3 of these peaks in a day.

Came up from Bondcliff. Didn't wait too long as we had to do West Bond and then get to the Guyot Campsite. Was about a 13 mile day.

Climbed with South Twin, Guyot and North Twin via the Twinway Trail from Galehead. Amazing views from both peaks. At times it threatened to rain but we were lucky as we were able to avoid the worst of the storm. Things started fogging in on Bond so we decided to save Bondcliff for another day. It was the right decision.

Managed 29 miles and 6100 vertical feet on a day with wet and muddy trails, intermittent rain, and three shoe-soaking, nerve-rattling stream crossings on the Franconia Brook Trail. Took 15+ hours.

Came over from Bondcliff, the clouds started rolling in midway across the ridge. Wind picked up to around 50mph knocking a few of us over. Summit was in clouds. Guyot Campsite was reached through 3-4 feet of snow.

Date Climbed: May 26, 2007
Part of a weekend of Bond, Bond Cliff, Zealand. Guyout was almost full when we got there. Glad we had a tent. It filled so that folks were in overflow later. Still a bunch of snow and ice around, could have used crampons.

I convinced my wife to go up after a 10 year hiatus for her. The plan was to wilderness camp one night, head up and hit all 3 (Bond, W Bond, and Bondcliff. Camp abother night, and head back so that each day would be a relatively easy day and we could relax at the campsite. We went up the Wilderness (Lincoln Woods) trail. Did some bushwacking and found a great site in the woods with a short walk to water. Set up camp and hiked up. Soon after we got to that short scramble area, the fog rolled in. We got to Bondcliff but couldn't see more than about 75 feet so went back down. The weather turned beautiful the next morning. We summited Bond and Bond and Bondcliff, but my wife didn't have the stamina to try for the 3 rd on in one day. We camped another night and hiked out the next day. All in all some nice "Bonding" goin' on (pun intended). That photo is me on Bondcliff.

I found out what had happened the previous day. It was strange to not see any airplanes in the sky. Ran out of food on this hike because the squirrels got into my bear bag the night before.

chobbsZealand Falls Hut  Sucess!

chobbs

Stayed in the hut for a few nights - what an awesome place. Shoulder deep snow off the trails. The hike to Bond was beautiful, and we had a ruffly looking bird follow us on the trail, hopping from limb to limb.

On the hike up to the hut from the valley, there were deer tracks and a heavy blood trail, but no other tracks. We never figured out how the deer was injured, nor saw any other evidence.
